Walnut Creek, in 1967. The performance and gallery complex was so popular, it grew into the Lesher Center
for the Arts in 1990. With more than 350,000 patrons a year attending more than 900 productions and events a year,
the Center has become the destination for the exceptional arts and entertainment experience, with three distinct
theatres providing musicals, high-energy drama or ballet, to please the entire family. The Center has hosted an endless
array of performing arts productions, events and lectures though the Lesher Speaker Series. There is something for everyone
at the Center. The Center is named for Dean Lesher newspaper publisher and founder of the Contra Costa Times.

outstanding achievement in the performing arts, is Lesher Center for the Arts in-house theater company.
It stages six productions a year, including the annual Holiday production, producing visually astonishing live theatre.
